Cihly den 2
Two days of work and the bricklayers have nearly finished 1.8m around the entire house! The bricklayer is local, from Emerald and knows how to boss his young apprentices.
You can see from the second photo how clean the bricks are, it’s quite impressive. The normal procedure would include final cleaning with an acid concentrate, which can discolour the lighter bricks that we have. These guys however just keep the bricks clean as they lay them so no further pressure spray is required.
The morter will get lighter as it dries, it’s supposed to be white but still appears a bit gray in this stage. The Limestone Hue brick has a little bit a pink tone to it but from the distance it looks just like we wanted.
